Where do I start? Back in the Army having served 12-years developed SI Joint Syndrome. Fast forward to about 5 years ago when my knees started hurting when running. Well, who knew that osteoarthritis would become a secondary condition of Si Joint Syndrome? Developed OA and serious grade 4 bone on bone in both knees! Long story short, had a failed microfracture in right knee and limped and waddled for 1.5 years until this right knee surgery. I’m 6.5 weeks post op and have ~135degrees flexion. Been working very hard in PT & I have the best PT in town! Knee is still swollen and still deep aching pain. Sleeping is still not easy. Left knee is scheduled for July only if all the pain in the right knee is gone by June! Fingers crossed! Like I said, I’m 45-yrs old and very fit as I am a fitness trainer. This is one of the hardest things I have ever done physically, even compared to my Army days. Best wishes to all of you as we all journey this path together! Glad I found this app! It’s truthful when it says that just when you feel like your knees have stepped 2-steps forward, you’ve stepped 1-back... all truth. But just keep trudging along - we will get there!

How long did you have to take pain meds. I’m at 4 weeks and 2 days and still need narcotic pain meds. Can’t wait to get off pain meds and be able to drive. Feeling frustrated. It helps hearing other stories. Thank you

How is your knee now? Can you walk, jog? I am in my 40s too and going for knee replacement and I am worried.
