I had TKR on my right knee on Aug 4 2016, I can't believe I waited as long as I did and missed out on most of my 40's due to being unable to walk, stand or do much at all. Today it's just not even 4 weeks and I feel great. I did have some pain, if course stiffness and swelling but honestly nothing like the horror stories I had heard about. Everyone is different and I feel I healed pretty quickly. Tomorrow is my checkup with the best surgeon ever and I will be discussing TKR on my left knee ASAP . If I could help ease your mind and not be afraid I feel this is so critical because like I said I was petrified and fir no reason . I'm thrilled and have a new lease on life . The plus us I'm finally walking heal to tie which I forgot that was the correct way of walking because for years I dragged that right leg behind me. I can say my home therapist made me at ease and pushed me to help myself now I am interested out patient therapy and I am totally confident and proud of myself!!! Yay me and yay to all the other skeptics and scaredy cats, if I could go this anyone could. Good luck to all of you
