Well it started in the mid 1980's. 5 days a week playing in Adult Softball leagues. Prior to that it was High School Athletics and College intramural sports.

Left knee was at bone on bone, surgery was November 2009. Over the next 6 years Surgeon would tell me the right knee is your call. You'll know when you are ready. March 2015, follow-up appointment with Surgeon and the conversation was well your back will not get any better due to compensation for knee was beginning to cause low back and Sciatic nerve issues. So that day in arch we set the date. Originally it was going to be July 13. Well due to changes in health benefits I moved up surgery date to June 22.

Surgery over the course of 1st week was "I screwed up. Well by 2 weeks I was starting to think maybe this is going to help. Pain was horrible, mainly due to problems I had prior to surgery. DDD in L5-7, Sciatic Nerve impingement. Slowly getting better with knee but Pain Management group has hands tied by typical HMO ISSUES.
4 week/1 month coming up Wednesday. Already driving, walking with cane, ditched the walked after 1st week, wasn't tall enough to really work well.

Now with the new school year starting the first week of August, I must play the wait and see game, don't want to push myself, but also don't want to start another semester with a sub for any days.
It's a wait and see.
