Why did I wait so long

My surgeon would only do one knee at a time and said I could get the other one done in 4 months. I scoffed at this, telling him I wouldn't get the other one done and he smiled. I got the second on done 3 1/2 months later! My life has completely changed! I am living again! No restrictions on my activities and I can walk for miles it's been 6 months and my only regret is I didn't have it done years ago. I had been told 20+ years ago I had to be at least 60 to have it done, well I won't turn 60 for a few more years and feel 20 years younger post op. The first few weeks were challenging but the end result was so worth it!

Thank you for your positive post. I will have my first TKR shortly and I am very apprehensive. This is really encouraging and has made me feel so much better

Ten...That was my story to the tee. Retired 2 years early, quit hiking even stop going around the block. OK. time for the doctor. I go into Dr Wall (surgeon) also chef of staff. Anyway, as he came in reading my file, ask; "why did you wait so long?". and we are going to do a bilateral surgery May 26 2016. Now 5 months later I m doing everything I gave up. Feel great and yes, I should have done this ...

thanks for the encouraging report. I'm scheduled for 2/14/2017 and with some apprehension I'm hoping to get back to tennis, golf, biking & hiking.
