It’s been 15 days since surgery. Damn it’s been a journey. Getting PT at home. I feel like I’ll never walk again but others say when I do the pain will be worth it. Need encouragement please.

looks like we may have had the surgery about the same time. mine was on 1/8/18. Some days are better than others. Went to PT yesterday, worked hard, did great. Today my leg feels like it weighs 100 lbs.! Taking it easy today. Sleeping at night is hardest for me because I just can’t get comfortable trying to sleep on my back. I have always slept laying on my side so getting a good nights sleep isn’t possible. Guess we both need to relax and let things heal. I’m sure better days are ahead.

Total right knee replacement 4 months ago. Looking back I realize this was a lot tougher surgery recovery than I thought it would be. A lot of sleepless painful nights but it's over. Still some pain but I am walking big dogs and after limping for two years I am a new guy. Totally worth it but glad the worst is over.

it’s been 5 months. I have a great PT but still have a ways to go. dealing with pain and swelling. knee still has not fully recovered. it’s a journey. Hoping for the better. still trying to get the leg straight.

5919Ball Hi! I HAATED sleeping on my back too.My first comfortable night's sleep on my side was heavenly. My surgery was at the end of February, so you're probably there by now Good Luck!

Anniesknee Hi there! I had my surgery at the end of February, and today I felt like giving up. We just have to dig deep and find that motivation somewhere.I think about James Brady who was so badly injured in the assassination attempt on Regan. He went through hell and back and made a miraculous recovery. He's who I think about. Good luck to you and to us all.
