Stories - I decided to have my knee replaced when:

I had a LTKR in July 2013 and it was not a great experience. At that time I knew that my right knee would need replacing in the future but I was determined not to go through that again! I had a couple cortisone injections which did not help. Had PT which did not help either. My right knee kept getting worse and the painhas become almost unbearable. I was still determined (stubborn) and refused to think about going through another TKR. Then it got to the point that the pain became excruciating when I would drive our car. Several times I had to pull over and call my husband to come get me. I knew I couldn't keep doing this to him so I did my own research & found a new doctor. I now have a surgery date of January 5 and I have never looked forward to something as much as I am having the replacement done. I am pretty much house bound now and even with being in the house all day I don't get much done due to the pain.

January 5 can't come soon enough for me!
