I had my rtkr on Dec 13th 2018 and my ltkr on Feb 28th 2019 and my recovery has been a long road. I was very active prior to surgery and felt I would bounce back rather quickly boy was I wrong! But I'm hear to tell you it does get better . You just need to be patient and let your body heal. Just when you think you are going to go out of your mind it gets a little better. Listen to your body, if you get sore from exercising back off a little. I have made great progress in the last week or so. I only take medication if I really need it, I found my body got amune to the meds and they didn't help. I use CBS oil twice a day, it's a natural antiflammitory. I found my compression stockings help alot after week 12 before that they seemed to be more irritating. The depression and feeling like your going crazy will subside. Sleeping has been tough for sure but it seems to be getting better the last few days. It is a long recovery but seems the better I feel the happier I am I went through the surgery. It does take alot out of your body to have surgery and just takes time to heal. 3 weeks ago I didn't think this way be patient it will get better!

Thank you so much for your comments. I am going through some anxiety and depression myself right now which I have never had in my life. I am 8 weeks out and on top of that I've been having some pressure on my chest when I'm trying to sleep and it feels like it's hard work to breathe. Did you have that feeling also? I'm not sure if it's stress or if it's something else. I am wishing you the best.
