On March 15, 2015, I had my TKR done on my right knee. I went to an extraordinary rehab center and was riding my horse in 10 weeks. Since the left knee was also a problem, creaking and pain and rubbing, I decided to have the second knee done. Second surgery was done Nov. 15 2015.
I made the mistake of going to a different rehab center which was absolutely awful! When i finally got home and was going to my physical therapist, things did not seem to go as well. on the last day of PT, my right ankle started to react and swell ( I had stretched the medial and lateral tendons a few years earlier but they had never been a problem during the first surgery or recovery.)
I am in almost constant pain. Knee is always hot. Sometimes the knock kneedness is so bad that i can hardly stand. My balance is very bad. Often the feet feel numb or tingling.
Needless to say, I have NOT ridden my horse much.
I have been back to the doctor a few times. Always told everything is fine. But when i saw the illustration on one of your pages, I immediately thought this looks so much better than my knee.
Now the dilemma is what to do now.

Well I will have my 2nd done a year from now. I’m 66 was/am knock kneed but 6/13/18 my surgery date and now 10/9 and doing well BUT I would have waited se la vee it takes up to a year —or less— we are all different as EACH KNEE! So keep up the work lay off the bouncy horse and know what? The pool is when my new knee bugs me most that evening go figure think it’s side to side not realizing and yep only 3 1/2 months so stay positive and stay off the horse— walk for now! And PT
