Wishing I didn't have my TKR....

14 weeks since op, 6 weeks since MUA due to extreme stiffness, pain and limited movement. The pain in hospital and next 6 weeks home was horrendous. No amount of pain meds seemed to help. The manipulation did help, but feel like I have gone backwards in other areas. My problem is that within 5 mins of being inactive, my knee tightens, feels full and I have numbness below and above knee. Day isn't as bad as I try to move around but night time is horrible. My leg slowly tightens, tingles I can't move it without lifting it. I have to get out of bed, sit on the side and massage my knee. The numbness slowly starts to subside, but not completely until I get up. My first 4-5 steps are painful and I have no strength until I have walked up and down for a minute or so. The tingling and numbness then subsides and I get back into bed. This is 5-6 times per night. Totally exhausted and over it. No way my other knee is getting done any time soon.

I agree, no way will I have this done with my other leg. No suggestions from me, I guess we have to give it more time.

Best wishes!
